The Evolution Pant can be worn multiple days in a row without washing, packs smaller than a t-shirt, moves with the body, and replaces at least three pants in your closet. A pair of pants that dresses up enough to get through any meeting, yet is rugged enough for any outdoor activity.
Finding pants that actually fit has been a struggle most of my life, and even when they do fit, my thunderous thighs eventually turn them into a rather revealing skirt. I bought two pairs of these in 34s, im usually a 32/33, and they fit beautifully (maybe a little loose since I've added a few pounds during 'rona). Almost as comfortable as going commando in basketball shorts. My jean loyalty is over.
I bought two pairs and had to go back for a third. These pants are the most comfortable I have ever worn. Breathable to help those who are active at work (or for recreation). They move with you and stretch so they are easy to use for something like an unplanned hike. They pack easy and resist odor, perfect for anyone trying to save room for souvenirs when they pack. Will use these every time I travel going forward
So far, I have purchased three pairs of the Evolution Pants - just so that people don't say "Hey, aren't those the same pants you've been wearing all week?"! Seriously. I just got back from a camping/hiking trip to Badlands National Park and Rocky Mountain National Park... I wore one pair for the first 4 days, and a second pair for the next 4 days (and I only changed, because I just felt like i should - the first pair still looked like I had just taken them out of the dryer).
Okay, so given the times, I haven't had a chance to travel in these pants, but I have been wearing them for 5 days straight. They are light, stretchy, comfortable, and hold their form very well. Sizing - I'm a stocky guy, 5'-6" and about 195lbs, you will NEVER catch me in a pair of skinny pants. I reached out to customer service for advice on sizing and was encouraged to get the 38" (I typically wear 36"-38" pants). The 38" was way too big. When I say way too big I mean easily 4"-5" too big. Assuming this was likely a defective pair, I returned and got a 36". These fit great. Super comfortable around the waist and haven't stretched too much that I need a belt. The length, well, they're a bit long, but nothing a roll or two can't fix. They have relaxed a little since I've been wearing them, but just enough to make them even more comfortable. Comfort - These pants are light. I live in California and the weather is heating up. I've been living in these pants and have yet to feel too warm. These pants are very stretchy, but you couldn't tell just by looking at them. They're so stretchy, they make me want to move around and sit in positions I normally wouldn't because, well, why not? Durability - Like I said, I've been at home. No issues to note. Style - These pants are walking a thin line. They kind of have a "tech" look, but these can easily be warn in a bunch of different scenarios. Hiking, travel, trips to the bar, casual dinners, heck, you could even put these on with a button down shirt, a jacket, some decent shoes, and be fine in a nicer restaurant. They're extremely versatile and the darker color I got can easily be paired with most of my clothing. With that note I will say the color is a bit darker than expected. I ordered and received the Charcoal colored Evolution. It's dark.. closing in on black, but they look nice. Customer Service - I'm a sucker for customer service. I have exchanged emails with multiple customer service reps and even one of the founders. They are very quick to respond, will walk you through questions if you have any, and the product exchange process is very easy. Here's the deal, if you're on the fence just do it. You're going to get a quality product backed by a company that clearly values their customers and provides excellent service. I'll be checking out other Western Rise products for sure.
From the moment I wore these pants for the first time, I knew they were something special. Never have I been a wear the same pair of pants/jeans every daytype of person. I've never found anything that could look good day in and day out, is weatherproof, and was this comfortable. But I find myself wearing these things almost everyday since I bought them. So here's the breakdown if you're on the fence: They're incredibly versatile (probably the most versatile I've ever come across). They breathe very well making them great for warm weather. The material is so light and flexible that they pack incredibly well. I can literally fit almost 3 of these pants for every 1 pair of jeans, so they save a ton of packing space and weight. They're water resistant. The only real complaint I have is sizing. For travel I suggest you pick you true size, as the fit it slight baggier so it's way more comfortable to travel in. I also have a pair that I sized down (which based on the specs was actually my true waist size), if you want the fit to be more skinny/slim you can do this although I imagine some people will find it too small. The only problem with sizing down is that it fits perfectly at your waist, which means it's really tight if you want to tuck a shirt. I also don't recommend traveling in pairs you size down in. If you want some pants that're slimmer cut/more modern cut, and have a slight softer material and you can easily tuck shirts into, I highly recommend the Diversion pants. I have a couple pairs of those for work and specifically for meeting days where I have to see clients or date nights. I love them as well. But If you are on a budget or only had to choose one, I actually find the Evolution pants to be more comfortable in general as I find the light material, breathability, and slightly baggier cut is just more comfy than having slightly softer material. Other than having to play with your sizing a bit to find the fit you like, I just can't find a fault with these pants. Bring on odd sizes and more colors and they may be the G.O.A.T.
