Western Rise

As Kelly and I wrap up our first year at Western Rise we wanted to look back, say thank youSeriously thank YOUand give you an update on the latest happenings around here.

Our goal, above all, is to build the future of mountain apparel. Clothing should enhance your outdoor experiences never restrict them. We are people on the go, and feel that our clothing should be as well.

A thoughtfully designed collection of apparel can take the place of tons of sport specific pieces, and aid the user in living the life we desire to live, all while looking great.

At Western Rise, we hope to continually evolve that notion.

Western Rise

2015 was an incredibly challenging and rewarding first year for Western Rise. After a few years of development, we were able to release our initial line of versatile mountain apparel to the public.

Initial response was incredible.

And, thanks to you, Western Rise sold out of many of its initial pieces more quickly than anticipatedalmost entirely due to word-of-mouth.

The year involved many adventures including product testing in Alaska, fishing, climbing, hiking and biking all over Colorado, Utah, and the Southeasttesting both the men’s and women’s line.

We met with the world’s best fabric suppliers and showcased our initial line and our Spring 2016 line at the International Fly Tackle Dealer Show as well as Outdoor Retailer.

We were honored to be chosen as one of Outside Magazine’s “Coolest Brands We Saw at Outdoor Retailer” as well as’s "Best New Brand of 2015," and met some really incredible, passionate people along the way.

Moving into 2016 we have continued on our quest to provide the best possible mountain apparel, and have hired a product developer and a product designer. Combined, they provide Western Rise with over 30 years of experience in the Outdoor Apparel industry, working for companies such as The North Face, Cloudveil, Spyder, Smartwool, Stio, Faction, and SuperNatural.

This knowledge has helped Western Rise to expand our fabric database, improve our factory network and advance our quality to the highest level.

Over at, we are constantly developing and re-formulating your experience to make purchasing, trying on, using, or returning and exchanging as simple and easy as possible.

Demand is high and our team is small, but we vow to give you the best experience possible.

Western Rise

So, in order to give you the absolute best quality product, at the best price possible, beginning in Fall 2016, we will be selling only directly on our site.

As we grow this customer experience, we are also developing a forum to allow you to take part in product development. We will be showing the development process and asking for feedback from those of you using our products on a daily basis. We are making it for you after all.

We will also be exploring and potentially expanding into pre-sales in order to allow our engaged customer base to reserve products early.

Likewise, we are expanding our incredible ambassador teamin order to involve more of the amazing people we have met that want to be involved with the growth of Western Rise. This expansion will aid in product testing, stories and spreading the Western Rise word!

In other news, we have moved our company headquarters to Telluride, Colorado. We have also joined the Telluride Venture Accelerator, the only venture accelerator focused on the Outdoor Industry.

This move will allow us to expand our network and be closer to our passions, therefore allowing us to seamlessly test products in the environment for which they are designed.

If you’re around Telluride or the San Juans and want to meet up, give us a shout!

Have a great 2016!  More to come soon!
